How to Disable Windows Automatic Update ( Windows 10, and 8)

DISABLING AUTOMATIC UPDATE IN WINDOWS 10,and 8

Windows provides it's users with updates which comes with enhanced features and functionality that makes windows experience better. Despite the fact that it's amazing to have your windows updated regularly, it can also be a be disturbing when it gives you problems after updates, trust me i have been there before where my desktop wasn't responding after an update and I had to reinstall windows again. I wouldn't wish this on anyone so here I provide you with steps on how you'll disable windows updates for good.

Follow these steps(I used the steps bellow on windows 10 so it should work on windows 8 as well)

1. Press and hold down the windows key then press R
2. type in gpedit.msc then press enter
3. Open: computer configuration>Administrative templates>windows components>Windows update
4. Now look for "congigure Automatic updates" and open it.
5. At the top left side, select Enabled then check out the options
6. Configure automatic updating is set to option 3 "Auto download and notify for install"
7. Change that to Option 2 "Notify for download and Auto install"
8. Click on Apply then OK to save your changes. you can now exit the editor.

DONE

Now windows will never download updates automatically.
